Description
The Offshore All-Rounder.
The ICEY TEK CORE SERIES 115 Long Cooler is built for serious offshore fishing. The long, shallow layout solves the bent-fish problem — comfortably fitting mackerel, mahi-mahi and other medium pelagics without forcing them in. It also makes it easier to organise bait and catch without deep stacking.
Like all ICEY TEK hard coolers, it's built for harsh Australian conditions. The thick, pressure-injected lid handles overhead sun, while fully insulated walls hold temperature when you're out for longer. Dual drainage bungs make clean-up simple at the end of the trip.
Whether it's down the centre of the boat or strapped into the ute tray, the 115 is reliable, practical gear made for long days offshore.
Why It Works
- 80mm Lid Insulation: Maximum protection where the sun hits hardest, maintaining critical slurry temperatures for extended trips.
- Four-Hinge Design: Four heavy-duty injection-moulded hinges with a 90-degree stop. No internal lid ropes to snag on gear, tackle, or fish fins.
- Practical Wall Thickness: 40–45mm wall and base insulation keeps ice life strong while keeping the box manageable for a two-person carry.
- Long-Format Layout: Better weight distribution down the centre of a ute or boat, and easier access to contents compared to deep, square boxes.
- Dual Drainage: Bungs at both ends let you drain meltwater from either side, making it easy to maintain a cold slurry or wash out the box.
- Commercial Grade Build: Rotomoulded from UV-stabilised polyethylene with a non-porous internal lining that resists stains and fish odours.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What's the difference between Left Lift First and Right Lift First?
It refers to which half of the split lid opens first when you lift it. Most people set the box up so that half opens toward a clear area of the deck, usually away from the gunwale. If you're not sure, Left Lift First suits most standard boat layouts. Email us before you order if you want to talk it through.
Should I get the split lid or the single lid?
The split lid lets you open one half to slide a fish in or grab a drink while the other half stays shut, which holds temperature better over a long day and is easier to work in a tight cockpit. The single lid gives you one clear opening, which suits loading bulky gear, event use and ute trays. Most fishos go split. The single lid is $14 cheaper.
How long will ice last?
That depends on ambient temperature, how often you open the box, and whether you pre-chill it before loading. In typical Australian coastal conditions, say 28 to 32°C, expect 4 to 5 days with quality block ice if you're disciplined with the lid. Loose bag ice won't go as long. Pre-chilling the box overnight before a trip makes a real difference.
What size fish fit in the 115L?
The internal floor runs 940mm. That handles most school mackerel, mahi-mahi, snapper, and a good bag of reef fish laid flat, up to about 90cm without bending. It's a long, shallow box on purpose, so you're not stacking fish three deep to get the lid shut. For fish over 90cm, look at the 160L.
How heavy is it when fully loaded?
The box is 19.5kg empty. Load it with ice and fish and you're looking at 45 to 60kg depending on the catch. That's still a two-person carry when it's full, which is part of why this size sells. Anything bigger and you're not lifting it at all.
Will it hold up on a rough offshore run?
Rotomoulded polyethylene doesn't crack, doesn't leak from joints, and doesn't care about vibration. Four injection-moulded hinges stop at 90 degrees so the lid won't bounce back on you mid-run, and there are no internal ropes to snag on gear, tackle or fins. It's built for the offshore grind.
What if it arrives damaged or has a fault?
If the box arrives with a manufacturing fault or transit damage, we cover return freight and sort out a replacement. Email support@iceytek.com.au with your order number and a few photos. We don't drag it out.
What's covered under the 5-year warranty?
Manufacturing defects on all hard coolers for recreational use. If something is structurally wrong with the box, we replace it or refund it. Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, and permanent outdoor storage aren't covered. Full details here.
