Description

Big Pelagic Capacity.

The ICEY TEK CORE SERIES 260 Long is built for big days offshore. The extended internal floor gives you the space to lay large pelagics flat — no bending, no compromise. When the fishing fires, this is the capacity that keeps up.

The long format also makes it a practical large event box, with room for drinks, ice and easy access.

Rotomoulded from tough polyethylene and built for heavy loads, the split lid lets you open one side while keeping the rest closed — helping hold temperature during high use.

Built for big fish, big trips and serious capacity. Load it up and make it count.

Why It Works

  • Split Lid Access: Open one half to slide a fish in or grab a drink while keeping the other half sealed. Practical on deck and helps hold temperature over multi-day trips.
  • 80mm Lid Insulation: Thick lid handles overhead heat, backed by 40–45mm insulated walls and base for strong ice retention in tough conditions.
  • Four Heavy-Duty Hinges: Four injection-moulded hinges with a 90-degree stop support the full 1550mm length and remove the need for internal ropes that snag on gear, tackle, or fish fins.
  • Dual Drainage: Two drainage bungs for rapid clean-up and efficient meltwater management after a heavy haul or busy event.
  • Rotomoulded Build: Seamless, UV-stabilised polyethylene shell built to handle offshore vibration and heavy use.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What’s the difference between Left Lift First and Right Lift First?
It’s which side of the split lid opens first.
On a 1550mm box, that matters. Most people set it up so the lid opens toward the clear side of the deck, away from the gunwale. Not sure which way works best on your boat? Talk to us before you order.

How long will ice last?
There’s no magic number. Heat, lid openings and how you load the box all matter.
As a guide, in 28–32°C Australian conditions, expect around 4–5 days with quality block ice if you keep the lid shut and load it properly.
Pre-chill it overnight. Use block ice. Keep the cold in.

What size fish fit in the 260L?
The internal floor is 1375mm long. That’s enough for big Spanish, yellowfin, wahoo, kingfish and plenty of reef fish - with fish up to around 137cm sitting flat.
Got something bigger? Curve it in or run a flat fish bag alongside.

How heavy is it fully loaded?
32kg empty. Add ice and fish and you're easily over 100kg. Once it’s loaded, it’s staying put. Choose its spot before you fill it.

Will it fit in my boat?
The 260L measures 1550 × 580 × 560mm, with 1140mm of clearance needed to fully open the lid. Measure twice. Order once. It’s a serious box. Give it a serious home.

Will it handle a rough offshore run?
You bet! That’s what it’s built for. Tough rotomoulded polyethylene. No weak points where you don't want them. Four injection-moulded hinges support the full-length lid and stop it at 90°. No internal ropes. No flimsy hardware. Just a tough box that stays shut, stays cold and takes a beating.

What if it arrives damaged or has a fault?
If your box arrives damaged in transit or has a manufacturing fault, let us know.

What’s covered under the 5-year warranty?
Our 5-Year Warranty covers manufacturing defects on ICEY TEK hard coolers used for recreational purposes. If there’s a structural fault with the box, we’ll repair, replace or refund it as appropriate. It doesn’t cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage or permanent outdoor storage.
